Punjab Institute of Medical Science MBBS Admission Criteria

1. Eligibility: To be eligible for MBBS admission, candidates must meet the following criteria:
   Candidates must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
   The minimum aggregate mark requirement in the 10+2 examination varies for different categories. For instance, the General category typically requires around 50–60% aggregate marks, while the OBC, SC, and ST categories usually require around 40–50% aggregate marks. The minimum age requirement is 17 years.
2. Entrance Exams: Candidates need to appear for the NEET UG entrance exam and obtain a qualifying score to be eligible for admission.
3. Counselling Process: After qualifying for the entrance exam, candidates need to participate in the counselling process conducted by the respective authorities (national or state). The counselling process includes choice filling, document verification, and seat allotment based on merit and preference.
4. Documents Required: The documents required for MBBS admission include: 10th and 12th grade mark sheets and passing certificates, NEET scorecard, Caste certificate (if applicable), Domicile certificate (if required), Identity proof (such as an Aadhaar card or passport), and passport-sized photographs.
5. Fee Payment: Once the seat is allocated, candidates need to pay the admission fee and secure their seat.
